Foundation Vent Definitions
• "Surface Mount" means that the vent is made to mount on the wall without any louver box extending out the back of the unit.
• "Recessed" means that the vent is made to set in the hole left by leaving a concrete block out of the wall. The outside of trim measurement must be the same as the hole so that the entire unit can set in the hole and back an inch or two from the surface of the wall.
• "Flush Mount" means that the vent box will be made to fit into the hole left by the excluded block and that the face trim will be flush against the outside wall, or on top of the outside wall. Flush mount is really the same as the "Standard Jamb" application."
